How to reach Saur Mountain Village?
Saur village is located in the Garhwal region, Tehri district, and Chamba block of Uttarakhand. Saur is approximately 10 km. down a road that connects to the Rishikesh-Chamba – Mussoorie State Highway. The village is within terraced fields with sparkling streams a short walk away. It is a serene village nestled in beautiful Himalayan landscapes.

We highly recommend driving from Dehradun via Dhanaulti and Kanatal
From Dehradun Via Mussoorie Road: Before entering Mussoorie, take a diversion towards Dhanaulti, cross Kanatal and Jadipani Market. 6 kms from Jadipani towards Chamba take a sharp right turn at the bifurcation descending downwards and Saur village is 11 Kms from this junction. This road is under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and goes all the way to Khuret village.
From Rishikesh Via Chamba: From Chamba, take the Chamba – Mussoorie road and the bifurcation towards Saur will be on your left side after 6 kms. Saur village is 11 Kms from this junction. This road is under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and goes all the way to Khuret village.

Alternatively if you want to use public transport From Dehradun, there are two daily buses to Chamba at 6 am and 6:30 am. Remember that they don’t run from ISBT Dehradun but from the bus stand just outside Dehradun Railway Station. From Chamba, shared cabs ply to Saur village at regular intervals. You can also get down at the bifurcation to Saur which is 6 kms before reaching Chamba. We can arrange for a pick-up from the junction at nominal prices.
Daily buses also operate from Rishikesh to Jadipani via Chamba.
